As an adopted Seattlite, I feel for the Mariners and their long history of losing. I had no idea the depths of their fandom and incredible journey to even become a baseball team in the first place. It’s no exaggeration to say that 2001 Mariners may have been the greatest baseball team ever assembled, and the emotions of this story surprised me.
